A Message from Lisa and Tom Cuchara

Welcome to the 75th annual NECCC photo conference! This annual photography conference contains an abundance of opportunities to learn new techniques, catch up with friends, and expand your portfolio. This year’s conference was planned with the active, engaged photographer in mind. This means that you not only get to hear programs that will help to make you a better photographer and inspire you to take more photographs, but you get to mingle with the speakers, photograph a variety of subject matter (Bring your camera to the conference!), get feedback on your images and/or portfolio, get to know how a speaker thinks by attending a photo walk, participate in pre-conference and conference workshops, photograph battles on Sunday morning as the Armored Combat League knights do some fighting and more! We are pleased to have THREE featured speakers this year for the 75th Scott Kelby, Frans Lanting and Billie Weiss.

For many of us it like a family reunion where we get to catch up with our photo enthusiast friends, make new friends, get to learn new things, be inspired by awesome speakers, and be awed by photographs with impact. We have brought in a variety of speakers, including some great speakers that have never presented at NECCC before! This conference is an amazing immersion of photography, we have events going from 7am until 11pm so come eat sleep and breathe photography for the weekend!

We are very grateful to our many sponsors, without whom we would not be able to put on this conference. A special thank you to ADKPI, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Tamron for sponsoring speakers and hands on events at this 75th annual conference! We are also very appreciative of Gary Farber of Hunt’s Photo and Video. For the past twelve plus years Gary Farber and Hunt’s Photo and Video has graciously sponsored our conference. We greatly appreciate their support! We continue our Door Prize Extravaganza with an increased number of companies providing door prizes. Their logos & website links can be found in the Speakers’ Notes.

A conference of this size takes many volunteers whose tireless efforts start about ten months prior to the Conference. Our sincerest appreciation goes to ALL of them. We are indebted to all chairman and their committee members for their many hours of work to run a conference of this caliber. Special thanks to Chane and Rhonda Cullens, who designed and maintain! Finally, our thanks go to all of the UMASS Conference Services staff who go above and beyond for us, especially Rebeccah Johnson, Conference Registrar, a guru with lots of expertise and unlimited patience.

Thank you,
Lisa and Tom
