Discounted parking coupons for the Campus Center Parking Garage will be available at the conference registration table. These coupons will allow you to park in the garage for a discounted rate of $6.50/day. For GPS purposes, the garage is located at 1 Campus Center Way, Amherst, MA, 01003. Campus Center Way is off of Commonwealth Avenue, across the street from the Mullins Center. After turning onto Campus Center Way proceed up the hill to enter the garage (the garage entrance will be on the right). There is accessible parking and an accessible walkway into the Campus Center on level 2. Alternatively, you may park on levels 3, 4, 5 or 6 and use the Southeast or Northeast Stairwells to access the outdoor campus walkways to the Campus Center. Upon entering the Campus Center follow the signs directing you to the registration desk. If you do not pick up the discounted parking pass at the on-site registration desk you will need to pay the full hourly rate, currently $1.75/hour.
Reminder – the Campus Center Parking Garage is now automated! Upon your arrival to the garage take a gate ticket and park like previous years, but bring your gate ticket in with you. When you check-in at the registration desk you will be provided with a parking coupon for each day of the program. As you leave each day you will need to stop at one of the pay stations before heading to your car (there are pay stations located on each level). Enter your gate ticket in the pay station and, when prompted, scan the QR code on the parking coupon. This will give you a discounted rate of $6.50/day. After you submit payment your gate ticket will be validated. As you drive out of the garage enter your validated gate ticket at the exit to raise the gate. Note: you should only stop at the pay station when you are about to leave for you day.
Complimentary parking will be available in Lot 44, the large surface lot located near the North Residential Area. This lot will be serviced throughout the weekend by shuttles. As the conference approaches all attendees will be sent detailed conference information by email, including a listing of frequently asked questions, a highlighted campus map, and a parking pass. The parking pass included in this document should be printed out prior to your arrival to campus, filled out completely, and then displayed on your dashboard at all times throughout the weekend. Do not park in Lot 44, or any other surface lot listed on the pass, without having the parking pass prominently displayed on your dashboard: doing so will result in ticketing and/or towing.
Those staying in North should follow the instructions above to park in Lot 44, the closest lot to the North Residential Area. Those staying in traditional residences can similarly park in Lot 44, but will be able to park in a surface lot closer to the traditional building using the emailed parking pass. Once the traditional residence hall being used is determined, guests staying in the traditional building will be updated on additional parking options near their building. Shuttles will run throughout the weekend so guests can take a shuttle or walk from their residence halls to all conference sessions, or may park in the Campus Center Parking Garage (see above).
Attendees with a state-issued disabled parking placard or license plate may park in any marked Reserved Accessible Space, any regular, unreserved space, or any parking meter at no charge. All vehicles, regardless of disabled placards or plates, must pay when utilizing the Campus Center Parking Garage. Click here for additional information.
Attendees with limited mobility are encouraged to read through the parking details above and/or utilize the shuttles that will operate throughout the weekend. With many convenient stops serviced frequently throughout the weekend, the shuttles are a great option for many attendees.
